Mellon Grant Internships

Beginning spring 2025, humanities majors in 蜜桃影像传媒有限公司网站’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences will be eligible to participate in paid internships, made possible through a $2.45 million grant from the Mellon Foundation.  Participating students can earn a $5000 scholarship for completing internships that promote social justice with local nonprofit organizations, social service agencies, schools, historical societies, museums, and local governments.   In keeping with the University System of 蜜桃影像传媒有限公司网站’s emphasis on “career-ready competencies” for all of its students, this partnership is an exciting opportunity for students to earn both course credit and scholarship funding while gaining marketable skills in their major by working with community partners.  Humanities students majoring in English, History, Modern and Classical Languages as well as minors in Africana Studies, Native American and Indigenous Studies, and Women’s and Gender Studies are eligible for these paid internships.  Also eligible are students studying qualitative Sociology and Anthropology.  Finally, majors in Interdisciplinary Studies, with at least one concentration in the humanities, are also eligible to participate in this initiative.

Interested students should contact the College of Humanities and Social Sciences for more information.
